The process took too long in the context of rapid interest rate increases. I asked for a lock-in but there was pushback on doing this. I ended up paying 5.6% after being charged 2,5 % in points. With a lock in at the time requested I would have had a rate of 4,5%. This ended up costing me thousands of extra dollars over the life of the loan. I am not sure if Ammar could have done better since circumstances may have been beyond his control however I feel that I paid more than I should have.

Ammar made the process easy and enjoyable. Very helpful and understanding. Explained everything in detail and answered all our questions. Made sure we were comfortable with everything when it got it little overwhelming. Explained all options available to us and did everything he could to get us the best option available.

Ammar was very confident and reassuring through out the loan process. I was completely unsure about what a mortgage loan would be and didn’t think I even had the qualifications to go forward and he explained everything to me in a way that made me feel confident too. He was also future oriented so when things were not so great, like rising interest rates, he explained what we could do in the future about that.
